Faith

Faith is a very important aspect of the life of someone who believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible states “be it done unto you according to your faith” (Matthew 9:29). So, if you want to move forward in your Christian life you need to apply your faith.

You were saved by believing – having faith; trusting totally in – the Lord Jesus Christ and His death on the Cross of Calvary and His resurrection from the dead (see Romans 10:9-10). You are called to live by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). We are told to pray ‘believing’ or having faith that God hears and will respond (1 John 5:14-15). Faith is so vital and is central to every aspect of our daily walk that we are known as members of the Christian faith.

For your faith to be growing and developing and becoming stronger you need to “exercise” it. That means you need to use it. So, the question of the day is: “What are you currently believing (having faith) for?” I have asked a number of believers that question recently. The answer – “nothing”. And, guess what? If you are believing (having faith) for nothing you will receive just that. You will see nothing happen because “it is done unto you according to your faith (what you are believing).”

The Lord is saying to His Church: It is time for my people to, once again, walk by faith and begin to do more than believe in Me. It is time for My Children to believe Me for the things I have promised them as they walk with Me. It is time for My children to step out in faith to see lost souls come into My Kingdom. It is time to take seriously those things I have spoken and that are recorded in My Word – and to actually apply these truths and walk in them. It is time to “do those things that I have done and greater things” (John 14:12). It is time to walk in the power that you have received so that you can truly witness for Me and about Me to the people in your world and mine. It is time to take seriously that which I have spoken and to walk by faith and no longer walk in the flesh. (Galatians 3:3) It is time for My Church to become seriously supernatural and to do the things I have anointed you with power to accomplish. It is time. It is time. It is time, says the Lord.

Suggestion: believe (have faith) that God just spoke to you because He did as you read this – and begin to walk in the Truth of what you have just heard in your spirit. Begin to believe God’s Word as you apply it and walk in it. And, every day, listen to His voice and obey what you hear.

Correcto mundo !!!! Today on break at work a co-worker asked what I would do if I got the “swine flu”…I said, “I won’t.” “I reject it.” She said, “What if it accepts you? ” I said, “It won’t.” (HE anoints our words with HIS power.) She didn’t say anymore but the wheels were turning….the song lyrics came to mind, “shine…wake ’em wonder what you got.” I have spoken with this gal prior about the things of the LORD….she has been heavily involved in the occult for many years…and still is but not to the extent she once was…I believe she will carry HIS WORD….please pray for JOYCE and her husband TODD and his daughter TANISHA. Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

It’s a very timely word. When you begin to exercise faith, you encounter doubts. But doubts, it dealt properly, strengthen faith. At present I am believing for several things in my life, and it really directs my Christian life. First of all, it directs my prayers. It develops my intimacy with the Lord. Faith is not a set of steps you have to make in order to make things works. Faith comes comes not “how-to manuals”, but from personal relationship with the Lord.

I have printed this off and am taking it to a small group that I am part of. We are just a few people from our church who are meeting together to pray for our church that it would move forward. We are hoping/believing that the people will want to see the glory of God in our midst. We are also praying that God’s kingdom will grow in our small community. Thanks for the encouragment and admonition.
