Easter Sunday

It is Easter Sunday – the time we celebrate the central truth of the  Christian faith. Jesus Christ died for our sins on the Cross of Good Friday shedding His blood for our forgiveness. He was buried in the tomb and on the third day He rose again from the dead and HE IS ALIVE.

The Bible states that He was raised from the dead by the power of the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 6:14) This same Spirit lives in you if you are born again. The power that raised  Jesus from the dead and transformed Him is  active and alive in you waiting for your permission to transform you – from the inside out.

As disciples of the Lord we BELIEVE that He is God and trust in His death and resurrection for our forgiveness and thus have the assurance of a place in Heaven when we die. To believe means to trust Him in our hearts and to know that He is the only Way to be forgiven and to be in right standing with our Heavenly Father.

But we are also called the BELONG to His Church and be vitally connected to His body, other Christians, here and now.

We are also on a journey to BECOME like Him and thus the need for His Spirit to live in us and His power to be actively changing us.

Then we can BUILD with others the Church and the Kingdom by going out, sharing Jesus, and making more disciples.

This is what Easter is all about!
