The Church is undergoing a time of great shaking as the Lord moves mightily in His Church. Following this there will be a tremendous move of God’s Spirit on the Church – a move like no one has ever seen before. So, good news – the Lord is going to move in mighty ways on His Church and we will see the hand of God in miracles, signs and wonders. The bad news – first He will move in His Church removing everything that will hinder Him moving on and then through His Church to impact the world.
The Bible states, “One last shaking, from top to bottom, stem to stern. The phrase ‘one last shaking’ means a thorough housecleaning, getting rid of all the historical and religious junk so that the unshakable essentials stand clear and uncluttered.” (The Message Version – Hebrews 12:25b-27)
The shaking has begun worldwide. It is like an earthquake is happening and many of the things we hold precious and dear and being toppled and destroyed. The things of man are being removed. During this spiritual earthquake – each and every believer and disciple of the Lord is being given opportunity to work with the Holy Spirit as He shakes their soul (mind, will and emotions). The Lord wants each disciple to look into their heart and see what else may be sharing the throne with Him. He wants to remove those things from the center of your life. He wants each disciple to examine what they believe and to be ruthless in bringing all beliefs and understanding into line with what the Bible really states. He is about to shake the way each disciple lives so as to bring our lifestyle into line with His Word and what it states about life – its priorities, its focus, its purpose.
These are tremendous times, exciting and dynamic times, to be alive and to be a serious disciple of the Lord. They are going to be tough and somewhat difficult times for those who are Christian in name only and still live as they choose to live regardless of what the Word of the Lord states – both the written Word (Bible) and the spoken word (prophecy and prophetic teaching). Obedience to the Holy Spirit and changing to bring beliefs and lifestyle into line with the will and Word of God will be key to walking through the season we are now in.
