A New Addiction For God’s People

God is addicted. Addicted to change. Now the Bible tells us that God does not change – He is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is very emphatic when He states “I am the Lord God and I change not” (Malachi 3:6).

He is in the business of changing those who come to Him for salvation. He wants to see ordinary people turned into extraordinary followers of God. Followers who have been given power and who are now out making an incredible difference in the lives of others. They move out into the ‘highways and by-ways’ and witness to the lost – seeing God redeem, restore and redirect the most unlikely candidates and characters. Read more

It is Time to Grab Hold and Move Forward

It is time to grab hold of our true identity and authority and move out into our communities and our nation. It is time to understand that the Lord Jesus came to defeat the work of the devil (1 John 3:8) and did so. That he is a defeated enemy and thus is powerless over the believer.

A good example of this is your own salvation. As soon as you were convicted by the Holy Spirit of your sin and the need for a Saviour the devil was not able to stop you from experiencing salvation and receiving the gift of eternal life (Romans 6:23). You were translated instantly from the domain of darkness into the Kingdom of Light where Jesus is King. The devil was powerless to prevent this once you decided to take this step of faith.

A Church EXPANSIVE With Energy

I sense that there has been a shift in the spiritual realm here in North America. I have sensed it both here in the churches in western Canada as well as in northern California and into Montana. I think it is from coast-to-coast-to-coast in both nations and is not limited to one area of either nation. Read more

Dreams and Visions

I am deeply concerned about the current state of the Church where ministries – even anointed men and women of God – are teaching from their dreams and visions and not from the Word of God. They are taking their dreams and visions and calling them the “word of the Lord” when they have not compared their content from the dreams and experiences to the true Word of the Lord – the only plumb line or standard that we have – the Bible. It Is Time, Says The Lord

This past few weeks I have become even more excited about being a member of the Lord’s Church and part of His Kingdom. The feeling is that “I was born for such a time as this”. Well, of course I was – God plans everyone’s birth, the time and the season that they are born into, and the things that He has planned for them to do. But, now I feel it deep in my gut. I was born for THIS time and THIS season and I am getting more and more excited about THIS task that I have as an apostle in His Church. Read more

Open The Eyes of the Blind

The Lord is wanting His Church – you and me – to be telling others of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This gospel, Paul tells us, is the “power of God unto salvation.” And people today do not know this Gospel that leads people to the recognition that they are sinners and deserve to go to Hell. It is this Gospel that enables the Holy Spirit to “convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment.” Only then can a sinner repent with godly sorrow and turn from their sinful ways and receive forgiveness and the gift of eternal life. Fight With Everything You Have in You

The Lord has impressed upon my heart that the Church is in desperate trouble when it comes to believers knowing and living the Truth. In spite of all the great teaching that goes forth from pulpits around the world, today Christians apparently do not have a firm grasp on the basic beliefs of the true Christian faith. And, as a result, they lack discernment, often not being able to tell what is really Truth and what is simply someone’s opinion or personal interpretation. Read more

Back To The Basics – Back To Acts

I believe the Lord is taking His Church back to the basics. Then once we are back at the basics we can go back to Acts. We have been majoring on the minors and chasing the latest and the greatest – personality, revelation, ministry, gifting, church, or book. And often none of these things make us better followers of Jesus. And, as believers these things we chase after have not helped us to be a good witness for the Lord nor have they helped us to win the lost.

The Church is being taken back to the basics of the faith. Hebrews 6 lists the basic 6 doctrines of the early Church and stresses the need to move on to more mature things. Earlier, in Hebrews 5:12, the author had written that the believers needed milk as they were not yet ready for solid food. I believe the Lord is saying that this is true once again – in our time and in most churches. This would be backed up by the latest surveys taken by Gallup and the Barna Group as published (in part) in the March/April edition of Outreach magazine. Read more

Powerful Prophetic Prayer

Many years ago I spent a whole day drinking coffee at a Sambo’s restaurant and reading the Gospel according to John in one sitting. It was then, for the first time, that I noticed Jesus’ words – repeated frequently throughout the Gospel – when He states that He only does what He sees His Heavenly Father do and only speaks what He hears His Father speak. This insight about His ministry radically altered my ministry. And, it changed forever my concept of prayer. Read more

Go Forward

When Israel was leaving Egypt under the ministry of Moses they came to the Red Sea and camped. Shortly afterwards with the Red Sea in front of them, mountains on both sides, and Pharaoh with his army coming up from behind them they began to lose faith and worry. And, of course, they began to complain.

Moses speaks to them and tells them to “stand firm”. He is telling them to have faith in their God who has just, with a series of miracles, freed them from slavery in Egypt. He also tells them to “be still” which meant to have inner peace and not to worry or be anxious. This when they were likely experiencing great fear and total panic.
